Description:

The main objective of the design competition for the restyling of the ‘Porta Garibaldi F.S.’ underground station in Milan is to create an overall image common to the entire underground line of the city, so as to favour its recognisability while at the same time improving dialogue with citizens.

The project aims to improve routes and flows by rationalising spaces and taking a census of all the advertising and information elements, with the consequent repositioning of them in the routes, in a precise order.

With a view to a policy of renovation with reduced costs, the project is a prototype for a light restoration, characterised by its economy and ease of implementation.
